Cloud switching and data exit
Version 2026-10-10.1 · Draft for reviewCompany details, operational schedules and legal review must be completed before this document is published for acceptance.
Request and scope
Request a switch to another provider, an on-premises environment, or deletion through Legal & privacy. Identify the services, desired destination, export scope and contact. DCS verifies authority, supplies a written transition plan and inventories exportable input/output data, relevant metadata and digital assets. Provider intellectual property and trade secrets are excluded only where lawful. Account JSON is not a complete VM, volume or Kubernetes export.
Timing and assistance
Where the Data Act applies, the maximum notice period to initiate switching is two months. The standard transition period is at most 30 calendar days, followed by at least 30 calendar days to retrieve data. Legally permitted extensions require the applicable justification and notifications; a customer may request an extension. DCS must provide reasonable assistance, maintain continuity and security during transition, and identify known risks and formats. Infrastructure functional equivalence obligations apply where required.
Charges and deletion
DCS does not impose a switching fee under this schedule. Ordinary service charges remain payable as contractually and legally due during service. No switching-related egress charge will be introduced. Following confirmed successful switching and the retrieval period, DCS erases exportable data and related customer assets subject to lawful retention requirements. Do not delete the source until the authorised customer has confirmed the destination and retrieval arrangements.
Technical readiness
Before accepting customer workloads under a published schedule, DCS must validate export formats, volume and VM transfer, Kubernetes application/data portability, secure delivery, completion evidence and residual-copy deletion. A submitted switching request starts case handling; it does not claim that a full workload export has already completed.
